Tools - flywheel holding tool

A simple but invaluable tool for holding the flywheel when undoing/tightening the flywheel nut, much less risky than putting a bar into one of the flywheel holes and resting the bar on the crankcase.

With the centre bolt removed it could be stowed in the car taking up very little space. In the 60s we had to be well equipped for every eventuality in the event of a breakdown many miles from home without the benefit of RH coming to the rescue.

The conduit handle shown here doubles up as a handle for other tools saving space and weight in the car.

You will need 12” of 3/4” of conduit flattened on one end and 1” x 1/4” flat steel bar 16” long, drilled to pick up on the holes that are in centre of the clutch spring positions.
