Leyland Davies received a strip of paper when he bought new corks for his Ewarts Tap and wanted to share the info thereon with fellow members ...
Soak cork in boiling water for one to two minutes for it to go soft and spongy.
Cut cork on one side only taking care not to tear the cork. Use sharp knife with a new blade.
Ease cork over the stem of the plunger. If it’s going to go wrong, now is the time.
Ready to replace into tap. Refit to car - once fuel runs it will expand cork and seal.
