The recent warm weather has encouraged me out into the workshop to make up a little tool I have been thinking I should make every time I get a blocked jet.
Made out of 1/8” thick brass recovered from an old door hinge it picks up on the locating spigot on the top of the slow running tube of the 22FZ and 22FZB carburettor.
The handbook tells you to hold the tube with a pair of pliers to unscrew the jet. That always seems poor practice to me, witness the poor condition most are now in.
