Chassis no: C63712 Engine no: M63998 Car no. A6-6076
Bought by Ian Moorcraft in 1975 and restored by Ian over the following three years.
The body tub, rear wings, dash panel, firewall, bonnet, rad shell, hood frame, windscreen, side screen frames and fittings along with 80% of the wood frame are original today.
The floor pan was completely rusted beyond saving other than the handbrake cover, n/s seat hinges and o/s seat adjusting mechanism. Ian made a complete new floor pan from 18swg steel, riveted with 1/8” steel rivets to the original pattern. He also made new running boards.
Additional non factory fitted accessories shown on the car are 'Desmo' scuttle horn, 1 gallon 'Eversure' wing mounted petrol can ( a replica made by Ian ), 'Raydyot' overtaking mirror, 'Eversure' engine oil filler funnel attachment, 'Stadium' interior rear view mirror, Running board step scrappers, 'Boyce-Motometer' temperature gauge, 'ValveSpout' oil can and holder, 1936 AA badge no.69984G and 'Joseph Lucas' battery cut out switch.
An 'Ewarts' push/pull petrol tap replaces the original and problematical twist and turn tap.
An original 'Prima' petrol dipstick is carried inside on the n/s door pillar.
The car carries a full complement of original tools as supplied with the car ex Longbridge. Still need to find a Plug/ Tappet feeler gauge set.
Ian Moorcraft is always happy to correspond with others who need info on this model.
